Instructions for Authors

Oral Presentations:

  1. Check for your allotted date, session, and time on the conference web site
  2. Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes followed by 5 min for questions.
  3. Only PowerPoint is supported and files must be uploaded to conference computers before the start of your session.
  4. On the day of your presentation, contact the Chair or Co-Chair of your session to confirm your presence and that your presentation is loaded onto the proper computer.

Poster Presentations:

  1. Posters can be hung during the reception on 3 November between 1600 and 2100h or starting at 0700h on 4th November.
  2. Size is limited to 120 cm high and 180 cm long (landscape mode).
  3. Text and figures need to be large enough to be read when standing 1-2m from poster (~36 point text)
  4. Titles should be placed on the top line (~150 point)
  5. Authors should be listed below the title and contact information should be included (affiliation, address, email address)
  6. You could also add a photo of the presenter to facilitate recognition.
  7. Should you wish to make a brief ~1-2 minute PowerPoint presentation in the Poster room please contact Scott Williamson (snw@ualberta.ca). This is on a voluntary basis and will take place in the poster hall at designated times during health breaks.
