The Ion Microprobe facility is located in the Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS L2-305), North Campus of the University.

  • Option 1: Access through the main CCIS building, lowermost floor (L2), and follow the signage to L2-305.

    • If you take one of the East Elevators, turn left when you reach L2.  Turn left again, walk through two sets of doors, you will see Beamish Tunnel on the right hand side.  Walk through the tunnel, through a set of doors, then turn right at the end of the tunnel.  Walk along the corridor until you reach CCIM.

    • If you take one of the West Elevators, you will see Beamish Tunnel in front of you when you reach L2.  Walk through the tunnel, through a set of doors, then turn right at the end of the tunnel.  Walk along the corridor until you reach CCIM.

  • Option 2: Link from the third floor of the Earth Science Building to the second floor of CCIS. Then take one of the East Elevators and follow the instructions above.

  • Option 3: For those who like a challenge, access is also possible through the Biological Sciences Building.  The basement of Biological Sciences Building is linked with CCIS L2.
  • Option 4: Arrange to meet us at the "Meeting Point" (refer to map below) on the main floor of the CCIS, in front of the Student Services office (1-001).

On Campus:

Hotels:

Campus Tower Suite Hotel: Closest commercial hotel, our visitors report favourably, about 10 min walk to the lab.

Varscona HotelMetterra Hotel: Both on popular Whyte Ave. 25 min. walk to the lab. Restaurants, shopping, etc.  These are quality hotels.
